* In their opening-round playoff series, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime with a score of 117-111, giving L.A. a 3-1 series lead and pushing the Grizzlies to the brink of elimination. LeBron James led Los Angeles with 22 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists, making him the first Lakers player to record at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a playoff game since Shaquille O’Neal did in 2004.
The Lakers haven’t made it past the first round of the playoffs since their title run in 2020. The teams will now head back to Memphis for Game 5 on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., where the Lakers hope to take the series win.
